I can think of no better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Arizona Statehood day than raising awareness for animal adoption! I want to thank Arizona Humane Society for all the work they do to serve our community. Which is why I invited them to the Capitol to spread awareness of the importance of animal adoption – and to bring some wonderful new friends!
Animal welfare is a critical issue, which is why I championed HB2523, legislation to reduce Arizona’s stray animal epidemic by controlling pet overpopulation, euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs, all while protecting our neighborhoods against aggressive stray animals.
I am proud of our work to reduce the population of stray pets. As tax season approaches, don’t forget you can now make a voluntary donation on your taxes to stay and neuter rescued pets.
