Angel’s Law

Angel’s Law

The Arizona Legislature adjourned Sine Die early yesterday evening. I’m working on scheduling a Coffee with Kate to do a comprehensive Legislative Wrap Up for the district. Keep your eyes peeled for the invitation.

I wanted to take a quick moment to share Laurie Robert’s article about Angel’s Law. Angel’s Law is a bill I’ve been working on for the past couple sessions with DCS Director Greg McKay. This year we got it across the finish line! Angel’s Law provides further protections for abused children who …

Election Update

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Thank you for your caring support and concern while we all await the final outcome of the LD28 State Senate and House races. In Maricopa County, 450,000 mail-in ballots and 55,000 provisional ballots are not yet counted. In the Senate race, I am up 1,035 votes, but there are unknown thousands of uncounted ballots that will determine the final outcome. As soon as I know, I will let you know!

Letter: Kate Brophy McGee’s actions speak loudest

Letter: Kate Brophy McGee’s actions speak loudest

Legislative District 28 needs a state senator who walks the walk. If you believe child safety, education and health care are important issues, then Kate Brophy McGee is the only choice for state Senate.

The Arizona Accountability Project did not list a time …

Following Up

I am extremely proud of my proven record as a lawmaker and my ability to get things done. I’ve worked across party lines to make a positive difference in people’s lives by giving them a hand-up, not a handout. Without raising taxes and with balancing the state budget, I am proud of my record of accomplishments.

My opponent has complained about outside spending in elections while quietly funneling nearly $80,000 to these groups to do his dirty work. I wanted to share Laurie Robert’s article below …

Results Or Complaints?

Results Or Complaints?

Here are some clips from Sunday’s Politics Unplugged:

In case you missed it I appeared on Channel 3 TV’s Politics Unplugged program this past Sunday to discuss my candidacy for the LD 28 State Senate race.

Soundbites and hashtags are fun but our district cares about results. I fought for, and successfully passed, legislation that increased funding for our schools and universities this past session. My opponent voted “NO” on these measures.

My record speaks of getting it done, not complaining in vain. Unlike my opponent, …
