Kate Brophy McGee Wins LD28 Senate Race
Late Friday elections officials pre-final vote count in the LD28 Senate race. Thanks to you and your support, I am honored and excited to report that I am the Senator-Elect from LD28. When the last few ballots were tallied, 98,560 ballots were cast in the race. I finished ahead of my opponent by 2,312 votes, earning 51.17% of the total. Saturday morning I received a call from Mr. Meyer, graciously conceding the race. I thank him for his public service, and wish him the best in future endeavors. Thanks as well to Senator Adam Driggs for his many years of service to this district. I look forward to working with LD28 Representatives-Elect Maria Syms and Kelli Butler in the upcoming session.
This was a hard fought campaign that focused on issues important to LD28 voters. My opponent and I took our records to the voters, and the voters have spoken. This victory would not have been possible without you. I am humbled and overwhelmed by your support, and all that you did to reach LD28 voters.
You have my continued commitment to bring the thoughtful, practical, and inclusive approach to lawmaking necessary to deliver results for our children, and build the Arizona they and their children will call home. Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, beautiful Thanksgiving and a joyful holiday season, and every blessing in the New Year.
Now it’s time to get things done!
